Hello Everybody
My name is Jennifer Speiran, and this is my blog, portfolio, and all things I find interresting.
Nutshell Biography
I was born in Moncton, New Brunswick and lived across the river in a town called Riverview for the first 18 years of my life. After graduating from High School, I moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia where I attended McKenzie College. I took classes in 2D and 3D animation in hopes to one day work in the film industry. I graduated top of my class in the summer 2001 and found myself employed at a small video game company located in the small fishing town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia by the fall of 2001. There, I was a part of a team of artist who made video games for the PS2, XBOX, PSP, PC and Wii consoles.
In 2008, I accepted a job at Gameloft in Montreal, Quebec. There, I worked as part of a team of artists who made video games for the iPhone. Living in a large city was a new experience for me and I enjoyed everything the city had to offer. By the summer of 2010, I was missing my family, friends and Maritime connection. This is when I found myself thinking of something I had not thought of since I was in High School. Teaching. Not wanting to leave my world in 3D art, becoming an instructor in a 3D school presented itself and I persued it.
